Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of reward management on employee performance in the local governments of Uganda with particular reference to Mbarara District Council (MDC). Particularly, the study intended to find out the relationship between reward types and employee performance; establish how reward policies influence employee performance and find out the relationship between reward processes and employee performance in MDC.
