Abstract: | The main purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the provision of health services in Kawempe Division. The man objectives of the study were: Analyze the factors affecting the delivery of social services in Kawempe Division. To explore the roles played by the local governments and commits in the provision of health services to suggest possible remedies to the problems facing health service delivery. This helped the researcher to formulate the recommendations that can be used to improve on the effectiveness and efficiency of health service provision in Kawempe division. During the study, a descriptive research design was used. Data was elicited from the local council officials, health workers, division planners and the general public. Purposive sampling was used to select the representative sample for the study. In data collection both secondary and primary sources were used during the study. Primary data was collected with the help of the questionnaires and interviews. Secondary data was collected from already existing literature such as health reports, journal, textbooks Newspapers and magazines from Makerere University, Ministry of health Library etc |
